Lot Description

A Rare Chinese Inlaid Gilt Bronze Belt Hook, Eastern Zhou-Warring States Period
東周-戰國 銅鎏金嵌蜻蜓眼琉璃珠帶
Eastern Zhou-Warring States Periods (771 BC-221 BC)

The hook is cast in the shape of a beast mask, centered with an inset 'dragonfly's eye' glass bead. surmounted by a silver shaft terminating in a dragon-head hook, the underside with a broad stud.
