Lot Description

Two Chinese Gilt Bronze Belt Hooks, Warring States-Han Dynasty
戰國-漢 銅鎏金龍鳳帶鉤及鳥首帶鉤
Warring States-Han Dynasty (475 BC-220 AD)

The shaft of the first example is cast with a sinuous phoenix, the terminal in the form of a dragon's head, the reverse bearing a round stud; the shaft of the second example is decorated with a long-tailed bird, the terminal a bird's head.
