Antique Argentine Mauser Model 1891 Rifle
World War I
7.65x53mm. 29" barrel length. SN: L6516. Blued metal finish with polished bolt set in walnut straight wrist stock with adjustable ladder rear notch and inverted-V front blade sights. Bolt action internal box magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips and featuring a cock-on-close action. Left receiver is struck with manufacturer marking reading MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891./MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN. Rifle features matching serial numbers where observable, and standard Argentinian {Liberty Cap} and {Meeting Hands} proof markings. Receiver shows a defaced {Argentinian Seal}, indicating its removal from the official Argentine inventory.
