**1940 Dated Nagant 1895 Post-War Refinished
World War II
7.62x38mmR. 4.5" barrel length. SN: NG02181 (Importer Assigned Number). Blued arsenal refinish overall mounting checkered Bakelite grip panels with topstrap notch and front blade sights. Double action seven-shot loading gate revolver with hand operated ejector, and using the Nagant gas locked action. Left sideplate struck with the {Arrow within Star} marking of the Tula Arsenal over a date of 1940. Item further displays scattered Soviet arsenal inspection markings including a {Boxed} re-arsenal stamp below the date marking, indicating it was refurbished after World War II. Original Cyrillic serial number to the left frame corresponds to SP459. Importer markings on right frame include the Importer serial number and a further four-line mark reading NAGANT 1895/7.62 NAGANT CAL./MADE IN RUSSIA/C.D.I. SWAN. VT.
