Lot Description

** Enfield No. 2 Mark I Revolver
World War II

.38 Smith & Wesson. 5" barrel length. SN: 88700. (1933) Blued metal finish with black painted finish on the small parts and mounting checkered walnut grips. Double action top break auto-ejector revolver with a six shot cylinder. Sights consist of a pinned front blade and a latch mounted notch. The revolver features a lanyard loop to the butt. The markings include the standard ENFIELD No2 MkI marking on the right frame with a date of manufacture of 1933. The balance of parts show British military inspection marks in addition to firing proof marks. The right barrel shows the Nitro Proof mark, and pressure proof markings. London firing proof marks are struck into the frame and between each chamber. Barrel rib marked CAL.-38. Further markings include the number 51 on the right rear frame, SB.N 143. to the cylinder, and 2/RNF/93 on the butt. The name POP ZAHN has been carved into the butt.
