Lot Description
*Quality Hardware CMP M1 Carbine
World War II
.30 Carbine. 17.75" barrel length. SN: 4759449. Parkerized metal finish overall set in walnut semi-pistol grip stock and featuring late pattern adjustable aperture rear and front blade sights with protectors. Short stroke piston driven semi-automatic rifle fed by detachable double stack magazines. Item fitted with the combination bayonet lug and handguard retainer. Serial number indicates the carbine was manufactured between September, 1943 and May, 1944. Receiver shows the QUALITY H.M.C. marking to the receiver, in addition to standard model and caliber markings to the forward receiver. Item is in storage Cosmoline. Left butt struck with U, indicating it was most likely rebuilt by Underwood after WWII. Wrist exhibits a weak AM/C mark and no visible circle P. Comes in a CMP shipping box with one A.I. marked 15-shot magazine by Inland Division, along with a copy of the operator's manual, and CMP manual.
