Lot Description

**Inland M1 Carbine
World War II

.30 Carbine. 17.75" barrel length. SN: 118259. Parkerized metal finish overall set in replacement low-wood walnut semi-pistol grip stock mounting late pattern adjustable rear aperture and front blade sights with protectors, combination handguard retainer and bayonet lug, and rotary safety. Short-stroke piston driven semi-automatic rifle fed by detachable double-stack magazines. Item shows the standard INLAND marking to the rear receiver, and mounts a barrel marked I.B.M. CORP./9-43/{Ordnance Bomb}, indicating this was most likely a replacement barrel installed at some point. Wood shows no circle P or arsenal marks, suggesting it was replaced, and only shows a rack number of 159 struck into the wrist. The number 51 is stenciled on the underside of the handguard. Item comes in a CMP box with a K.I. marked magazine manufactured by Inland, and a reproduction operator's manual.
