Both barrel bands struck U, while the buttplate is marked US. Stock is marked with the circle P proof to the wrist, and boxed SWP cartouche of Samuel W. Porter to the left wrist dated 1886. Rifle mounts a Buffington rear sight and three click action with low-arch breechblock and vertically serrated trigger. Comes with a reproduction leather sling.
