Lot of Three U.S. Pattern 1861 Cartridge Boxes (Two with Plates)
American Civil War
Lot of three US Model 1861 Cartridge boxes, all composed of leather with single tie down straps, brass studs, twin shoulder strap buckles, and straps secured with brass studs. Inner flap to one example is marked E. GAYLORD/CHICOPEE/MASS, and mounts brass US plate. Remaining examples are without visible maker marks with one example retaining its plate and the third showing mounting holes to the flap.
