Manufacturer marking to the lockplate reads BURNSIDE RIFLE CO/PROVIDENCE R.I. Serial numbers match on the breechblock and frame. The barrel is struck with a B initial forward of the frame. Item features a saddle bar and ring to the left frame, and a sling loop to the toe of the stock. Left wrist displays two indentations resembling cartouches but no recognizable initials.
