Blade is etched with the manufacturer marking Ames Mfg. Co/Chicopee/Mass, and is further adorned with etched panoplies of arms, floral borders, U.S. marking and banner enclosing the national motto E Pluribus Unum. Hilt features a pierced guard with beaded ground and vine enclosed floral designs. Knuckle bow is composed of two pieces mated with Turk's head pommel showing a peened tang. Item retains only the ends of the wire wrap that has broken free of the hilt.
