Left receiver displays the marking for {Howa Jyuko} manufacture beside a {9th Series} marking. Top of the receiver is struck with the standard Japanese kanji markings for Type 99 below a ground off Chrysanthemum. Serial numbers match on the receiver, bolt, cocking knob, and firing pin.
