**Red River Arsenal Rebuilt Remington Model 1903-A3 Rifle
World War II
.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 3446966. Parkerized metal refinish overall set in oil finished straight wrist walnut stock and featuring stamped triggerguard and stock fittings. Bolt-action internal magazine fed repeating rifle mounting adjustable rear aperture and pinned front blade sights. Receiver is marked U.S./REMINGTON/MODEL 03-A3 followed by the serial number. Barrel marking reads RA/{Ordnance Bomb}/5-44, indicating it was made by Remington in May of 1944, while the receiver serial indicates it was marked in February, 1943, suggesting the barrel was likely replaced at some point. Wrist shows strong circle P marking while the left wrist is marked R.R.A., indicating the rifle was re-arsenaled at Red River Arsenal. Item features the two-groove rifling typical of wartime Remington 1903 rifles.
