Lot Description
Lot of 2 WWI-era German Trench Knives
1.) Trench Knife by Hugo Koller - 5.75" blade. 10.625" overall. Double edge toothpick blade with central ridge to both sides. Grips are 9-groove hardwood panels with two rivets. Blade is horizontally marked HUGO KOLLER/SOLINGEN to left side of blade near ricasso, and features a C acceptance mark on obverse side. Includes black painted scabbard with leather frog.
2.) Officer's Trench Knife by Carl Eickhorn - 6" blade. 10.25" overall. Single edge blade with spear point and 2.5" false edge. Hilt appears to have checkered walnut grip panels, two rivets, and a single quillon guard without notch. Markings include the Carl Eickhorn {double squirrels}/C.E. logo to left ricasso. Item is photographed with a sticker on right side of pommel, but sticker has since been removed.
