Civil War tintype of Sixth Corps soldier and drummer boy circa 1862
Sixth-plate in period, embossed case with oval, embossed brass mat. The two figures, probably father and son, sit beside one another. The father, who wears a sack coat and hat with Sixth Corps insignia, wraps his arm around his son's shoulder; the son is dressed in drummer boy's uniform and gently rests his hand upon his father's leg.
