Washington, March 3, 1864. 2 pp., folio (16 1/4 x 10 3/8 inches; 412 x 263 mm); separated along horizontal fold - no loss of text, several generally light vertical creases; one light vertical crease through the letter "a" of Abraham Lincoln's signature. With paper seal. Clean with bold, dark Lincoln signature, also signed by Secretary of State William Henry Seward. Ms. document on both sides of folio leaf, with integral blank leaf, separated & also split along horizontal fold.
Pardon for Cincinnatus W. Newton, a citizen of Norfolk, Virginia, former holder of Confederate office.
