The rear of the slide behind the cocking serrations is marked NORMANDY within a banner. The grip panels are decorated with medallions reading D-DAY 6 JUNE 1944/OPERATION OVERLORD. The right slide has been hand engraved GEORGE A. HEBENSTREIT/COMBAT CAMERAMAN. A zip tie secures the slide, and an inspection tag remains affixed to the triggerguard.
