Item features a black powder frame to which is mounted a replacement barrel and a modern cylinder with the {Rampant Colt} logo on the rear face. Item mounts a kidney shaped ejector rod head, and shows the three patents in three lines marking on the left frame. The forward gripstrap has been drilled for a pin hole to mount one piece grips but no pin is present. Triggerguard retains traces of the 45 CAL marking. Replacement barrel is struck COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .38 SPECIAL on the left side and COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. The hammer recess shows a G initial.
