The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO/HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. Features include a black powder frame with black powder rifling, and a kidney shaped ejector rod head. The front sight has been replaced after the item was refinished. Serial numbers match on the frame and gripstraps with the loading gate showing assembly number 223. The initial S appears on the cylinder while G is struck into the hammer recess.
