Single action percussion revolver with six-shot cylinder and mounting German silver front sight. The barrel retains a legible address mark reading -ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-, and the left frame displays clear COLTS/PATENT marking. Only the serial number on the triggerguard remains fully legible, and all iron and steel components show signs of pitting and aggressive cleaning. The last digits of the cylinder do not match the front gripstrap. There is a single martial inspector's H initial behind the triggerguard. Multiple parts missing including: loading lever, wedge pin, wedge pin screw head, trigger screw, and hammer screw.
