[EARLY PHOTOG] 16 sixth plate daguerreotypes of girls & young ladies posed with books & cased images

Standing portrait of a young girl wearing a plaid dress, posed with her arm resting atop a book, the bottom edge of which reads "[F?]. Kohlerma[?]" in cursive letters. The girl's hair is worn down behind her ears. (Some tarnishing to edges and surface scratching, no preserver; resealed.) Housed in a leatherette case. Ink inscribed note incuded in case reads, "My dear mother Hannah Kay[?] Fiegl, taken in Pennsylvania / Cora Fiegl 3/15/55." -- Seated portrait of an older woman wearing a bonnet and a young lady holing a book open on her lap. (Significant tarnishing, spotting; resealed 2021.) Housed in a half pressed paper case. -- Seated portrait of a young girl with cropped, wavy hair, holding what appears to be a cased image in her lap. (Surface scratching, light occasional spotting/tarnishing, spotting to mat; reglazed and resealed 2020.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case (velvet pad completely loose). -- And 13 others. Some in half cases. Conditions vary. -- Together, 16 sixth plate daguerreotypes of girls and young ladies posed with books or cased images.
