Impressive French silver desk set marks of emile hugo, paris, late 19th century
The drum shaped case surmounted by a low handled dish hung with garlands and supported by standing classical maidens, the stem with female masks below, flanked by pairs of ink and sandpots cast with lions' masks, the shaped base with opposing penrests above a pierced and egg and dart moulded rim, raised on open scrolled feet cast with shells.
