Lot Description

French silver inkstand & clock marks of fizaine, paris, 19th century

The circular steel chapter ring with Roman numerals set within a drum shaped case flanked by winged caryatids and surmounted by a urn shaped stand supporting a bell with handle in the form of a river god, the flanking covered urns with finials in the form of anchors entwined with dolphins, the shaped base centered by Hippocamps and a shield inscribed Amistad Y Gratitud, raised on tassled feet with scrolling supports.
