Signed Ye Zhongsan (1875-1945), dated to the yisi year (1929)
葉仲三（1875-1945）己巳年（1929）作紅樓故事圖玻璃内畫鼻烟壺
the flattened rectangular bottle carved to both narrow sides with a pair of mask-form handles, resting on a short oval foot, painted to the interior with two scenes from the Chinese classic, Dreams of the Red Chamber, poetic inscriptions in black ink, signed Ye Zhongsan with one artist's seal, green jadeite stopper.
