Signed Ye Zhongsan (1875-1945), dated to the renxu year (1922)
葉仲三（1875-1945）壬戌年（1925）瑪瑙内畫人物故事圖鼻烟壺
the flattened oval bottle carved on the narrow sides with a pair of masks and mock-ring handles, painted to depict figures at various tasks in landscapes, signed Ye Zhongsan with an artist's seal, amethyst stopper.
Height 2 1/2 in., 6.3 cm.
