A Chinese Inside Painted Rock Crystal Snuff Bottle
Signed Ye Zhongsan (1875-1945), dated to the yichou year (1925)
葉仲三（1875-1945）乙丑年（1925）作史湘雲偶填柳絮詞玻璃内畫鼻烟壺
the flattened, ovoid body flanked by a pair of mask-form handles, painted to the exterior with two scenes from the Chinese classic, Dreams of the Red Chamber, one side with poetic inscriptions, signed Ye Zhongsan with one artist's seal, pink quartz stopper.
Height of bottle 2 5/8 in., 6.3 cm.
