[NATIVE AMERICANS]. [ANDERSON, John A., photographer (1869-1948)]. Two photographs taken at the Rosebud Indian Agency, South Dakota, incl. "Scalp Dance."
7 1/2 x 4 1/2 in. photographs mounted recto/verso on 9 1/2 x 6 3/4 in. disbound album page (prints in very good condition). Although uncredited, the photographs were taken by J.A. Anderson at the Rosebud Indian Agency.
Both photographs document an outdoor ceremony, with one titled and numbered in the negative, No. 286. Scalp Dance.
