[ROOSEVELT, Theodore (1858-1919)]. A group of 8 items promoting Theodore Roosevelt, incl. campaign buttons and Second Progressive Convention program from Chicago, 1916.
4 buttons from 1896 featuring a portrait of Theodore Roosevelt at center against a different patriotic backdrop, each 1 1/4 in. dia. (some with surface wear or slight abrasions, all but one with original back paper). -- Button featuring portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Roosevelt, surrounded by "50th Anniversary of the Republican Party," in 1904, 7/8 in. dia. (original back paper, which shows some wear). -- 1912 button with brimmed hat at center bearing initials "T.R.," surrounded by slogan, "My Hat's in the Ring with Teddy's," 7/8 in. dia. (light surface soiling, original back paper). -- 1912 button with slogan, "My Hat's in the Ring," 7/8 in. dia. (surface soiling, original back paper). -- Together, 7 buttons.
