Vol. II only (of 2), Folio (290 x 372 mm). 107 platinum prints mounted on card. Contemporary full blue morocco richly gilt-paneled, spine in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands, gilt-lettered in 2, the rest richly gilt decorated, wide turn-ins with gilt dentelles, gilt edges (scuffing at extremities, some rubbing, a few small losses at spine).
FIRST EDITION IN THE ORIGINAL BINDING BY DE COVERLY cataloging the fine decorative arts collection of Alfred De Rothschild (1842-1918), compiled by Charles Davis, and with photographs by pioneering Scottish photographer John Thomson.
