Lot Description
[POLITICS - NEW YORK]. "My Friends." Unionist political broadside attacking New York governor Horatio Seymour. New York: American News Co., ca 1864.
8 x 11 1/2 in. letterpress broadside (spotting).
A Unionist broadside published to persuade public opinion during the 1864 general election. Text derides the "coaxing, blarneying address" given by Governor Horatio Seymour amidst the July 1863 draft riots in New York City, in which he referred to the rioters as "My Friends."
