[Early Photography] Cabinet Card Album of 18th-19th century Pennsylvania Governors
8 1/4 x 6 1/4 in. album containing 30 cabinet cards depicting Pennsylvania governors, from the 1st governor, Charles Goodkin, through the 30th governor, Henry Hoyt (with the exception of John W. Geary, which is not enclosed). The album is comprised of a combination of images based on paintings and from life photographs. Each with verso imprint of C.S. Roshon, Harrisburg, PA. Highlighted portraits (after paintings) include Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Mifflin. Album covers fully separated at spine, and heavily worn. Album pages are brittle with chipping and loss to edges and corners. Cabinet cards overall good with occasional toning and trimmed edges.
