In generally fair to good overall condition with area of residual green varnish and some scattered retouching as seen under ultraviolet light. Figure at far left appears likely to be partially restored. Under ultraviolet light there are several areas of the painting, including the rock at lower left as well as parts of the foreground and areas at right which are darker than surrounding areas. This may be due to pigments used and/or to restoration. There is scattered retouching at lower half of the outer left edge, at the bottom edge, and there is very slight, precise retouching to parts of kneeling figure at left.
