Post-Civil War gold and enamel XV Corps badge.
1 7/8 x 1 1/4 in. 2-piece gold and enamel badge. Features suspension bar in the form of a captain's shoulder strap with black enameled center and T-bar pin attached to verso, and gold XV Corps badge drop with black enameled cartridge box at center. Cartridge box features gold box plate with "40 Rounds" in gold above plate. Veteran's initials "F.P.M." engraved on verso.
