Lot Description

[WORLD WAR II AND PRE-WAR]. A group of 5 medals, including a Purple Heart, two Legion of Merit and one Silver Star.


Purple Heart, with ribbon bar and small enameled lapel pin. In original case with gilt label.

Two (2) Legion of Merit Legionnaire medals, both with ribbon bar and enameled lapel pin. Neither with identification, but one also has a U.S. Naval Academy pin in the box for 1923. Possibly identifiable. Both with original cases with gilt labels.

Silver Star, with ribbon bar and small enameled lapel pin. No identification.

Yangtze Service Medal, with ribbon bar. “M. No. 10929” along edge. In original plastic case. These were awarded for service in China between 1926-1927 and 1930-1932.
