[CIVIL WAR]. A group of 2 American flags, incl. 44-star flag identified to “Camp 6 SoV ILL DIV USA” (Sons of Veterans, Illinois Division USA). [Ca 1891-1896].
“Camp 6 SoV ILL DIV USA” (Sons of Veterans, Illinois Division USA) inked on the side. 48 x 84 in. Brass grommets. C. 1891-1896. Wool stripes and canton. Hand-sewn double appliqued cotton stars in 7-8-7-7-7-8 pattern. Cotton duck hoist. Mothing with repairs.
[With:] 45 star US flag (c. 1896-1908). Wool stripes and canton. 58 x 114 in. Machine-sewn double appliqued cotton stars in 7-8-7-8-7-8 pattern. Cotton duck hoist. Brass grommets. (scattered mothing with a few repairs, replaced fabric at both fly corners [red])
