[CIVIL WAR - PHOTOGRAPHY]. A pair of ninth plate images of likely Confederate privates, comprising:
Ninth plate ambrotype of what appears to be an unidentified Confederate private wearing a 7-button shell jacket. (Major crack to image plate, with tarnishing along crack and mat opening.) Housed in full pressed paper case.
[With:] Ninth plate tintype of a very young likely Confederate private wearing a 7-8 button military shell jacket and cravat. (Crackling and scratching to image surface.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case. Printed label with image identifies subject as "Private Noah A. Childress, Co. F, 2nd North Carolina Infantry," though this cannot be verified.
