18 3/4 x 12 1/2 in. black and white photo mounted on board of Kennedy walking alone on the dunes near Hyannisport, MA. Backstamp on verso "Copyright c 1961 By Mark Shaw / 142 East 30th St. / New York." (Slight abrasions, small losses near edge line, residue near top left corner, adhesive residue on verso.)
This image, taken by Shaw in 1959, is said to be JFK's favorite photo of himself, and has been used in modern times to symbolize his presidency.
