Lot Description
[WILD WEST SHOWS]. NOTMAN, William (1826-1891), photographer. Hon. W F Cody "Buffalo Bill." Montreal, QC, Canada: William Notman & Son, [ca 1885].
3 3/4 x 5 1/2 in. cabinet card on cardstock mount (some spotting); matted and framed ( not examined out of frame). Printed title with photographer's imprint on mount recto.
A studio portrait of Cody wearing an embroidered shirt and posing in from of a painted canvas with his Model 1873 Winchester rifle. The Buffalo Bill Wild West toured both Toronto and Montreal during the 1885 season with Sitting Bull and Annie Oakley included as star performers.
