Lot Description
[EARLY PRINTING - LEAVES] A collection of approximately 40 leaves, 15th-18th century, including examples from:
Caxton, Chronicles of England, 1480; broadside with zodiacal woodcut (mounted and restored, some loss of text); Voragine's Golden Legend, Cologne: von Renchen, 1485; Bible, Basel, 1491 (2); leaves from the Nuremberg Chronicle; Wechtlin, woodcut of Christ preaching; Eliot Indian Bible, 1685; the first Irish Bible, 1685; Ortelius, Nobilis Hannoniae Comitatus Descrip, hand-colored map, Latin text on verso; and others.
