Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY - UNION CASES]. A group of 10 brown "oreo" union cases containing images of female subjects, including:
A Very Rare example with zinc embedded at center [Berg 3-541]; a Very Rare example with remnants of enamel at center [3-530E]; 7 Rare examples [3-502G, 3-507, 3-525G (discoloration), 3-534G, 3-532, 3-546 (discoloration), 3-553 (heavy soiling, loss to rim)]; and one Scarce example [3-527]. Conditions vary, though most include some light to moderate soiling and chipping.
Cases contain portraits of female subjects of varying ages including a tintype portrait of a young girl in a pink-tinted dress [3-525G].
