13 3/4 x 10 in. leather album with 59 silver gelatin photographs approx. 5 1/2 x 3 1/4 in. and 2 silver gelatin photographs 9 3/4 x 7 3/4 in. with white ink captions. 

The photographs document the arrival of heavy machinery, one labeled "Power & Mining Machinery Co." in San Diego by rail and boat. The equipment is then loaded onto horse-drawn wagons and transported to El Alamo, Mexico where the construction of what is presumably a mine is further documented.
