An unused c ertificate restoring the rights and privileges to a convicted prisoner who served his sentence without violation of the rules. -- HAYES, Rutherford Platt (1858-1927). Document signed ("Rutherford P. Hayes"). Columbus, OH, 189?. 1 page, 4 x 8 in., on Department of State letterhead, letterhead only. Rutherford Platt Hayes, the third son of President Rutherford B. Hayes, founded the Ohio Library Association and was appointed to the Ohio Library Commission which he petitioned the legislature to create. He later served as secretary, vice president, and temporary president of the American Library Association. -- HOADLY, George (1826-1901). Printed certificate signed ("Geo. Hoadly"), as Governor of Ohio. Columbus, OH, 2 December 1884. 14 x 17.5 in., scattered light browning, old folds. Appointing the delegates to the Electoral College for the 1884 election. -- CAMPBELL, James E. (1843-1924). Partly-printed document signed ("James E. Campbell"), as Governor of Ohio.
