1p, 5 x 8 in., framed with photographic print and envelope(unexamined out of the frame). Letter notes that anti-slavery activist and Lincoln supporter Cassius M. Clay, of Townsend's home-state of Kentucky, was "one of the factors in giving to this Nation Lincoln and to our Party its first National victory."
Procter was the last surviving delegate to the Chicago Wigwam Convention of 1860 that nominated Abraham Lincoln as the Republican candidate for president.
