Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. A group of 10 photographs of women in ethnic dress. Elizabeth, New Jersey: Alfred S. Campbell Art Co., 1902.
Approx. 2 1/2 x 10 in. photographs on cardstock mounts (each with tack holes at top). Each with photographer's imprint. Different views of the same woman (or two with very similar features) in national dress from different countries or regions.
Alfred S. Campbell (1840-1912) came to the United States in 1866 with Napoleon Sarony. He worked with Sarony for a number of years before starting his own company.
