Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY - OCCUPATIONAL]. A group of 23 photographs, including:
3 1/2 x 4 1/2 in. photograph. Trade school, with young men working at benches scattered about, one older man, possibly an instructor, near center of the room.
7 3/4 x 9 1/2 in. photograph. House on wheels. Four men and a horse in front.
6 1/4 x 8 1/2 in. photograph of M. Bowman’s Grocery with dozens of people gathered together in the front.
2 photographs of Richards & Thayer Grocery, Holyoke, MA, incl. 5 1/2 x 8 in. photograph of a delivery wagon, horse hitched up and ready to go, and 6 x 8 in. interior view of the store with two clerks ready for business.
4 3/4 x 6 1/2 in. photograph of Miller Bros. Co. Produce Merchants Agents, Chas.(?) Trucks. According to note on verso, taken at Fremont, Ohio Fairgrounds ca 1915.
