An Unusual Scrimshaw Panbone Oval Ditty Box With Engraved Surfaces and Panbone Bottom
Mid 19th Century
with engraved decoration on visible surfaces including a full-rigged ship with American ensign, a patriotic eagle, two houses and a large tree, and the whole trimmed with decorative 'umbrella' device.
Height 1 3/4 x length 4 1/2 inches.
