3 volumes, 8vo. Half-titles, titles printed in red and black; portrait frontispiece printed on vellum in vol.I. Half brown morocco gilt, brown cloth, upper covers with central gilt supralibros with the motto "Je Le Tiens", spines in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands, gilt-lettered in 2, the rest with leaf and vine motif gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut. Provenance: James Davis (bookplate); bookplate removed from pastedown.
