10 volumes, 8vo (218 x 150mm). Colored frontispieces, numerous plates, titles printed in red and black. Contemporary half red morocco gilt, spines gilt in 5 compartments with 4 raised bands, wide lower compartment with cream and green onlay and gilt floral design, the rest gilt lettered or decorated, top edge gilt others uncut, (slight rubbing or wear to edges).
LIMITED EDITION, number 50 of 150 copies of the “Canongate Edition.”
