Lot Description

Dress and Cape, 1977. Designed by Edith Head, made by Western Costume Company in Los Angeles
Worn by Olivia de Havilland for the American Film Institute tribute to Bette Davis in 1977.


Mauve silk crepe dress made of multiple layers all stitched to a boned inner bodice of cream silk. The dress has thin shoulder straps and closes down the center back. A poncho of self-fabric closes at the center back with a button (missing) and loop. The matching shoes are made of a purple satin. 

Dress and poncho are unlabelled. Shoe are stamped: Raine
