LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the first a yellow ground example, decorated with four characters, wan shou wu jiang (boundless longevity), alternating ribbon-tied swastika symbols and multi-colored clouds above waves, bearing an iron red Guangxu six-character mark, the second showing children at play in a garden, bearing an iron red Hongxian four-character mark, the third painted with phoenix and dragon roundels alternating bats suspending ribbon-tied shou characters, bearing an iron red Guagnxu six-character mark, the fourth a pair decorated with females reading, the fifth a pair showing landscapes, the sixth a pair of yellow ground examples decorated with leafy branches, the underside bearing an iron red san yang tai zao four-character seal mark.
